Garden District is a bbq in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is listed at 55 Monroe Center St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503, which places it among the local businesses of Grand Rapids that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Overall good experience. The food was priced a little bit high but not too bad for what you get. I ordered the etouffee which was a decent portion and good flavor. We also ordered the muscles, okay portion size however I would have liked to see you a little bit more for a shareable plate. The bread that accompanied it was good and soft. He also ordered the blackened fish which was a decent portion of fish with a ton of corn and rice. The corn was good interesting flavor that I had not had before. For dessert we ordered the banana Foster which was great the only downfall is it probably should have had two scoops of ice cream versus one as the syrup overpowered the dish a little bit. The ambience was okay it's a smaller place in the acoustics were not great as there were a few people that were allowed talkers in there and kind of bastardized the scene. There was a girl on her phone having a video call on speaker and I was quite disappointed that even after me mentioning something to our waitress that she did not say anything to the other guest.

The atmosphere here is very upscale but approachable meets New Orleans. It is brightly lit and welcoming. I ordered the Etouffee ($27). This has shrimp and crayfish smothered in a rich Cajun sauce over rice. The shrimp were very large and delicious. The whole dish was perfectly cooked. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. It was the perfect portion size as I was stuffed. I also ordered their Louisiana Albita Root Beer ($4). How have I never heard of this brand, it is fantastic. One of the best Canned Root Beers I've had. The service was very good. Super friendly and efficient. The only advice I could give was my waitress needs to speak up, she had too quite a voice. The cook and also a manager or owner came out and asked how everything was. Excellent, you guys are doing something the right way. Overall an easy 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely! New Orleans cuisine done right.

I went for an event and it was buffet style. The food was amazing!!! I had my 8 year old with me who is a picky eater and he tried their gumbo yaya and loved it!!! Their beignets were amazing but you can only get those with a catered event. I wish they had the time to make them on a regular. I 1000% recommend this place if you are looking for some New Orleans style food. Even I at food I usually donβt eat but loved theirs. The food is very well prepared and flavorful. I will mostly definitely be back and recommending this place to everyone.

We visited this beautiful new restaurant with New Orleans cuisine right as they opened on a Sunday afternoon! The atmosphere the music and the food was an experience! We tried the Catfish Po Boy, Crawfish Beignets, Cajun Fries, Fried Chicken strips, Ginger Ale, and Red Beans and Rice with Sausage and Cheesecake! They were out of root beer which my husband wanted and they were out of the pecan pound cake which I wanted! The food was hot and tasty! The beignets were packed with meat and flavor. The sauce that came with them should be bottled! It had a slight heat but delicious! The red beans and rice was so authentic and it was so delicious I could have eaten that alone and been happy, comforted, and satisfied! The gravy, roux could have been eaten alone! We will go back definitely! The owner stopped by our table and greeted us which sealed the deal. π² Food: Catfish Po Boy Crawfish Beignets Cajun Fries Chicken Strips Red Beans and Rice Side Berry Cheesecake

Great experience trying Garden District. A very friendly atmosphere and great costumer service. The food is full of flavor and you can tell a great deal of thought and detail goes into every dish. I had the jambalaya which was super tasty. The drinks were also amazing. I believe they rotate their menu and add new dishes here and there, which I think it's a great idea, because you always have something new to look forward to. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I am looking forward to going back very soon.
